The Grassroots 365 SD Havoc brought another competitive weekend of basketball to San Diego, with champions crowned across the youth and high school divisions.
SD Legacy Basketball Club 15U Crown highlighted the weekend with an undefeated championship run, while several title games were decided in the closing possessions.

14U Gold / 15U
Championship: SD Legacy Basketball Club 15U Crown 48, San Diego All-Stars 15U Gold 38
SD Legacy Basketball Club 15U Crown completed a perfect weekend with a 48-38 victory over San Diego All-Stars.
De’Marcus Simien Jr. was a consistent presence throughout the event and delivered in the championship with 15 points and eight rebounds. Elijah Goodspeed led the scoring effort in the final with 16 points and four three-pointers, while Jasiah Simien controlled the glass with 11 rebounds.
San Diego All-Stars stayed within striking distance behind 12 points from Raiden Friend and 11 from Joaquin Aguirre, but SD Legacy’s rebounding and perimeter shooting helped create separation and secure the championship.

Championship: All For One 13U 58, SD Legacy Basketball Club 14U 2031 Crown 55
All For One survived one of the weekend’s closest championship games, edging SD Legacy Basketball Club 58-55 to complete an undefeated run.
Caleb Johnson was outstanding throughout the tournament at 23.0 points per game and elevated his play even further in the championship, scoring 27 points with six rebounds. Roy Walker was another consistent offensive weapon and added 14 points and five rebounds in the final.
SD Legacy answered with eight made three-pointers in the championship. Levi Hunt scored 14 points, Ayden Spencer added 11 points and five rebounds, and Knox Samuelson finished with 10 as Legacy pushed the eventual champions to the final possessions.

Championship: Sizzle Academy Suggs 2032 61, Coastal Elite San Marcos 43
Sizzle Academy Suggs 2032 completed a perfect 5-0 weekend with a convincing 61-43 championship victory over Coastal Elite San Marcos.
Justin Corona put together one of the best all-around weekends in the division, averaging 15.6 points, 8.4 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 3.4 steals. He capped the weekend with a 14-point, 14-rebound double-double in the championship.
Rashad Mayes Jr. averaged 17.8 points and 6.4 rebounds and contributed 15 points and seven rebounds in the final. Banks Sevey added 16 points and three three-pointers in the championship as Sizzle’s balanced attack proved difficult to contain.
Coastal Elite was led by Ryker Oltean, who averaged 12.6 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.6 assists and finished with 15 points, eight rebounds and three assists in the title game.

All For One used its size and rebounding to secure a 53-46 victory over Sizzle Academy JSizzles Jalen Suggs 2034 in the 11U Gold championship.
Truss Wiggins stepped up in the title game with 15 points and six rebounds, while Adam Miller recorded a double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds. Troy Tucker added 10 points and seven boards.
Sizzle Academy received a strong championship performance from Nazir McCoy, who scored 18 points after averaging 15.2 points, 2.6 assists and 2.0 steals during the tournament. Kohda Suggs consistently created opportunities for his teammates and applied pressure defensively throughout the weekend.
All For One’s 36-21 advantage on the glass ultimately helped swing the championship.

Championship: AV DREAM 27, Sizzle Academy Jessie 14
AV DREAM completed an undefeated 4-0 weekend with a 27-14 victory over Sizzle Academy Jessie.
Ayden Gray made his biggest impact when the championship was on the line, finishing with 10 points, seven rebounds and five blocks. Gustavo Marotha added nine points and three rebounds as AV DREAM controlled the interior.
AV DREAM held an 18-7 rebounding advantage and recorded six blocks as a team, making scoring opportunities in the painted area difficult throughout the championship.
Sizzle Academy continued to create pressure defensively, but AV DREAM’s work on the glass and interior presence proved to be the difference.

Gamepoint Basketball completed a perfect 4-0 weekend by surviving 4S Elite 57-54 in a tightly contested 17U Gold championship.
Tyler Lukin averaged 14.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 2.3 steals for the tournament before producing his biggest performance when it mattered most. Lukin erupted for 26 points, five rebounds and three steals while knocking down five three-pointers in the championship.
Braxton Rolf was Gamepoint’s leading scorer across the event at 19.0 points per game while also averaging 2.3 assists.
4S Elite received 21 points from Kyle OConnor Jr. in the final, while Tyler David Johnson added 18 points, five rebounds and three assists. Johnson averaged 19.0 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.5 assists for the weekend.
Gamepoint’s rebounding and perimeter shooting ultimately provided enough separation to finish the weekend unbeaten.

She’s Empowered Sports closed the weekend with a convincing 53-23 victory over Lady Nighthawks.
Emilia Sebestyen averaged 13.3 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.8 steals across the tournament and saved her biggest offensive performance for the championship. She erupted for 30 points with four three-pointers while adding four rebounds and three assists.
Lovely Pettiford consistently applied defensive pressure throughout the weekend, while Mirenne Cole provided an interior presence for the eventual champions.
Lady Nighthawks received eight points from Emerson Cole and six from Dati Sanchez in the final, but Shes Empowered’s defensive pressure and Sebestyen’s scoring helped turn the championship into a decisive victory.
