Anaheim, CA | September 19–20, 2026
The Scholastic Series Boys National Preview brought programs from across Southern California and beyond to Anaheim for a full weekend of showcase action. Scope Scouting was on hand throughout the event, which featured a deep collection of established varsity talent along with emerging prospects across the Open, Varsity, JV and Frosh-Soph divisions.
Here are the All-Tournament selections and Outstanding Performers from the weekend.
Open Division First Team
Aiden Shaw (Bishop Amat) — 21.0 PPG, 3.3 RPG, 5.0 APG, 1.7 SPG
Shaw consistently controlled games with his ability to create offense while playing under control. He attacked gaps with purpose, made smart reads out of ball screens and showed the vision to create quality opportunities for teammates when defenses collapsed. His ability to balance scoring with playmaking was a major part of his impact throughout the weekend, while defensively he pressured the ball, generated turnovers and competed on every possession. Continued consistency as a perimeter shooter is the next layer for a guard who showed an impressive combination of scoring, decision-making and defensive toughness in Anaheim.
Bryan Blake (San Clemente) | Guard | 6’1″ — 23.5 PPG, 3.5 RPG, 2.0 APG
Blake was a dominant presence in San Clemente’s Open Division win over Weston Ranch, pouring in 30 points while adding 4 rebounds and 3 assists. The 6’1″ guard has a physically imposing frame and plays through contact extremely well, using his strength to create advantages off the dribble, get downhill and finish in traffic. Blake combines that physicality with proven perimeter scoring ability, making him a difficult cover at all three levels and a guard who can consistently put pressure on a defense.
Djordan Hall (Windward) | Combo Guard | 2027 — 19.8 PPG, 6.0 RPG, 3.3 3PM
Hall is a physical, athletic combo guard who made his presence felt on both ends throughout the weekend. Offensively, he showed the ability to play either guard spot, create off the dribble and stretch defenses from the perimeter, connecting on 3.3 three-pointers per game while averaging 19.8 points. His strong frame and physical toughness also allow him to play through contact and contribute on the glass. Defensively, Hall brings a competitive motor and the lateral quickness to pressure opposing ball-handlers, giving him an intriguing two-way profile in the 2027 class.
Hugo Morales (Norte Vista) — 32.8 PPG, 7.0 RPG, 1.0 APG, 1.0 SPG
Morales was one of the most dominant offensive performers of the weekend, averaging 32.8 points and 7.0 rebounds per game. He has excellent size paired with the skill to handle the ball and create offense, allowing him to attack from different spots on the floor and find teammates in the half court when defenses collapse. Morales also crashes the glass hard and uses his size and strength to finish through contact around the painted area. His combination of size, ball skill and physical finishing consistently created problems for opposing defenses throughout the event.
Max Hackney (Victory Christian Academy) | Wing — 15.8 PPG, 5.0 RPG, 1.8 APG, 1.3 SPG
Hackney is a versatile wing with good length, athleticism and the ability to impact the game both inside and out. He is an explosive vertical finisher who can play above the rim, finish through contact and use his length to create opportunities on the glass. Hackney also provides legitimate floor-spacing ability from the perimeter, giving him multiple ways to score without needing the ball in his hands. His combination of shooting, athletic finishing and positional versatility gives him an intriguing offensive profile while his motor allows him to contribute in several areas of the game.
Mohamed Toure (San Gabriel Academy) | Center | 6’10” | 2027 — 11.0 PPG, 5.0 RPG
Toure brings legitimate size and length at 6’10” with the mobility to impact the game on both ends of the floor. Offensively, he is effective around the painted area but also showed an expanding skill set with the ability to face up, step away from the basket and make plays from different spots on the floor. He runs the floor well for his size, battles on the glass and uses his length to alter shots around the rim. The combination of size, mobility and developing offensive versatility gives Toure an intriguing long-term profile in the 2027 class.
Munir Greig (Coronado) | Forward | 6’6″ | 2027 — 21.5 PPG, 8.0 RPG, 3.5 APG, 2.0 SPG
Greig is a big, physical guard/wing with excellent positional size, length and the versatility to impact the game in multiple ways. At 6’6″, he is at his best attacking off the dribble, using long strides and strength to get downhill, absorb contact and consistently put pressure on the rim while also showing the feel to create for teammates. Greig rebounds his position at a high level, can defend multiple spots and has the physical tools and two-way versatility that project well to the next level. His recruitment already reflects that profile, with offers from High Point, Mississippi State, Oklahoma State, Syracuse, Virginia Tech, SMU, UNLV and Villanova.
Nehemiah Parris (Long Beach Wilson) | Guard | 2028 — 17.7 PPG, 5.0 RPG, 3.3 APG, 2.7 SPG
Parris is an emerging 2028 guard who showed an impressive combination of perimeter shooting, playmaking and defensive activity throughout the weekend. He is a reliable threat from beyond the arc who can stretch the floor, but also showed the ability to attack off the dribble and create opportunities for teammates when defenses extended to take away his shot. Parris was equally active defensively, using his quickness and instincts to generate turnovers while also contributing on the glass. His combination of shooting, developing creation ability and two-way production gives him an intriguing foundation as one of the younger guards in the Open Division.
Omar Cox-Labomme (Bishop Amat) | Combo Guard | 6’1″ | 2029 — 21.5 PPG, 4.3 RPG, 3.0 APG, 1.3 SPG
Cox-Labomme continues to impress with an advanced offensive skill set and poise well beyond his age. The 2029 guard creates separation with a quick first step, tight handle and change of pace, allowing him to get downhill or create space for his perimeter shot. He showed the ability to score at the rim, in the midrange and from beyond the arc while also making reads for teammates when additional defenders committed to him. Cox-Labomme’s combination of shot creation, athleticism and composure stood out throughout the weekend, particularly for one of the youngest players competing in the Open Division.
Tariq Johnson (Servite) | PG | 5’10” | 2029 — 17.3 PPG, 2.3 3PM
Johnson is a savvy young lead guard who plays with excellent pace, feel and confidence. He creates separation off the dribble, changes speeds effectively and consistently finds ways to get into the painted area, while his perimeter shooting forces defenders to respect him beyond the arc. Johnson’s ability to read the defense and create his own offense stood out throughout the weekend, particularly for a 2029 prospect competing in the Open Division. His combination of shot-making, poise and advanced feel makes him an intriguing young guard to track moving forward.

Smith is a versatile 6’6″ wing with a long, wiry frame who moves extremely well for his size. A high-level vertical athlete who plays above the rim, he also has the ability to stretch the floor with his perimeter shooting, giving him legitimate inside-out scoring versatility. Smith’s combination of length, athleticism and floor-spacing ability gives him an intriguing two-way profile on the wing. He was a major piece of Victory Christian Academy’s strong showing at the Scholastic Series National Preview.
