Girls 16U 3SSB Session 1 Recap: Team ISO Opens No. 1 as Erin Akins Earns MOP Honors

The opening session of the Girls 16U adidas 3SSB circuit gave an early look at a deep and competitive group, with several teams building strong resumes through quality wins, head-to-head results, and pool strength.

Team ISO opens at No. 1 in the Scope Scouting Girls 16U Top 10 rankings after finishing 4–0 with the best point differential in the division and a statement win over Lady Jets. Most Outstanding Player honors went to Erin Akins of Team ISO Joe, who helped lead her team to an unbeaten weekend while averaging 21.3 PPG, 6.0 REB, 1.3 AST, 1.8 STL, 3.3 3PM, and posting a 60.4% TS.

Closing Thoughts

Session I established an early Girls 16U hierarchy, with Team ISO opening at No. 1 after a 4–0 weekend and a strong quality win over Lady Jets. ETG also made a major statement with one of the strongest 3–1 resumes in the field, while Della Basketball, Hardwood Elite, Lady Jets, Sol United, Texas Lonestar, Lady Phenom United, Southeast All Stars, and Lady Prospects Elite all built strong enough profiles to land inside the first Scope Scouting Top 10.

The rankings were built with quality of wins and head-to-head results weighted heavily, which is why several teams with unbeaten records sit just outside the Top 10.

Individually, Erin Akins delivered one of the top overall performances of the session, leading Team ISO in scoring while helping anchor an undefeated weekend.

Session II will be important in tightening the rankings, separating the top contenders, and giving several teams just outside the Top 10 a chance to strengthen their resume.
