G365 The Rise Recap: Kaydence Taylor Leads Blue Chip to 12U Gold Championship

GOODYEAR, Ariz. — G365 The Rise brought programs from across Arizona and the surrounding region to Goodyear on August 8–9, 2026. Blue Chip delivered one of the weekend’s most complete performances, defeating Hunter Elite, 57–35, to win the 12U Gold.

14U/8th Grade Gold Championship

Championship: Hunter Elite 50, AZ Phenoms 48

Hunter Elite overcame a nine-point deficit to defeat AZ Phenoms, 50–48, in a tightly contested 14U Gold championship game. Hunter Elite generated its comeback through perimeter shooting and defensive pressure before Charlie Wilde delivered the late game-winning basket.

Dakari Wilkinson led the champions with a game-high 19 points, five rebounds, three made three-pointers, and one block. He scored six consecutive points during a pivotal second-half stretch. Wilde added nine points and four steals, while Joshua Daniel Jones contributed seven points, five rebounds, two steals, and one block.

Hunter Elite made six three-pointers compared with two by AZ Phenoms and finished with seven steals. Those advantages helped offset the Phenoms’ 16–10 rebounding edge and 8–4 advantage in made free throws.

AZ Phenoms received scoring from all eight players in their recorded lineup. Ayce Miles led the team with 12 points, Jaredd Roseborough finished with 10 points and three rebounds, and DeAndre Fields contributed seven points and three assists.

13U/7th Grade Gold Championship

Championship: Phoenix Basketball Club 48, UH Elite Black 38

Phoenix Basketball Club used balanced scoring and consistent defensive pressure to defeat UH Elite Black, 48–38, and capture the 13U Gold championship.

Jasani Towns led the champions with 16 points, two rebounds, two steals, and one block. Micah Macias and Jabari White each added nine points, while Aidan McPhaul and Michael Clancy finished with seven apiece. Those five players combined for all 48 of Phoenix Basketball Club’s points.

Phoenix Basketball Club recorded 14 steals, with Macias and McPhaul collecting three each. McPhaul also distributed a team-high three assists. That activity helped Phoenix maintain its advantage despite UH Elite Black finishing with a 17–12 edge on the glass.

Antonio Prodanov delivered a strong championship performance for UH Elite Black with eight points, six rebounds, three steals, two blocks, and one assist. Nick Popnoe added seven points and three steals, while Amayah Reed scored six points on two made three-pointers.

Championship: Blue Chip 57, Hunter Elite 35

Blue Chip combined balanced scoring, perimeter shooting, and active defense to defeat Hunter Elite, 57–35, in the 12U Gold championship. All eight players in Blue Chip’s recorded lineup contributed to the scoring.

Kaydence Taylor led the champions with 17 points, three made three-pointers, three rebounds, two assists, one steal, and one block. Kyrie Stroud added 12 points and two steals, while Benjamin McLyn contributed eight points, eight rebounds, two steals, and two blocks.

Three-point shooting created much of the separation. Blue Chip made eight three-pointers across five different players, compared with one for Hunter Elite. Blue Chip also held an 8–1 advantage in steals and recorded all three of the game’s blocks.

Miles Mabeia led Hunter Elite with 12 points and three assists. Axton Komoroski scored nine points, while Ryder Hachmeister and Lincoln Chung each collected five rebounds.
