Brianna Mendez Leads Seven Days to the 2026 adidas 3SSB Girls 16U Championship

Seven Days Basketball completed its run through the 16U division with a 77-72 victory over Hardwood Evolution in the adidas 3SSB Girls Championship. Tournament MVP Brianna Mendez helped lead a balanced Seven Days offense that placed four players in double figures and made 11 three-pointers in the title game.

Texas LoneStar captured the 16U Classic championship behind MVP Jai Johnson, while Tennessee Impact won the 16U Gold title behind MOP Piper Ball.

Seven Days Wins the 16U 3SSB Championship

Seven Days Basketball 77, Hardwood Evolution 72

Seven Days used its balance and perimeter shooting to close out a competitive championship game. The champions shot 11-for-26 from three-point range and committed only six turnovers, allowing them to maintain their offensive rhythm against a Hardwood team that continued applying pressure.

Brianna Mendez finished with 16 points, four rebounds and three assists while making four three-pointers. She consistently supplied Seven Days with timely shooting and composed decision-making throughout the event.

Jayla Crenshaw matched Mendez with 16 points and added five rebounds and one block. Aaliyah Givens contributed 14 points, two assists and one steal, while Arayah Soriano scored 12 points with four three-pointers. Elynna Jimenez added nine points as Seven Days received production throughout its rotation.

Hardwood Evolution stayed within reach behind JoJo Martin, who finished with 24 points, five rebounds, four assists and one block. Martin repeatedly drew contact and converted 18 free throws. Chloe Miller and Caia L. Campbell scored 14 points apiece, while Emerson Drake added 12.

Tournament MVP: Brianna Mendez

Mendez consistently looked comfortable in important possessions during Seven Days’ championship run. Her balanced jumper translated throughout the event as she averaged 2.4 three-pointers per game and shot 44.4 percent from beyond the arc. The Final Four provided a clear example of her range of impact: she delivered a well-timed no-look pass before closing the half with a buzzer-beating three. Mendez followed that performance by making four three-pointers and finishing with 16 points, four rebounds and three assists in the championship. Her strong frame helped her play through contact, while her 1.6 steals per game reflected the pressure and activity she brought defensively. Mendez supplied shooting, playmaking and toughness without requiring every possession to run through her, helping Seven Days win the 16U title and earning tournament MVP honors.

Givens never looked out of place while playing up in the 16U division. She used her quick first step to beat perimeter defenders and had the speed to reach the painted area before help could become established. What stood out just as much was her patience. Givens kept her dribble under control, allowed actions to develop and delivered timely passes instead of forcing the first available option. She averaged 2.8 assists and recorded four in the Final Four, while her quickness and anticipation produced 2.6 steals per game. Givens finished the championship with 14 points on 5-for-10 shooting and made all three of her free throws. Her ability to balance speed with control helped Seven Days throughout its title run and made her one of the event’s most impressive young guards.

Chloe Miller (Hardwood Elite) — 16.4 PPG | 5.2 RPG | 2.0 APG | 2.8 3PM

Miller gave Hardwood Elite size, shooting and consistent production on the wing throughout its run to the championship game. She made 14 three-pointers across five games while shooting 42.4 percent from behind the arc, highlighted by 19 points and five threes in the 66-65 Final Four victory over Della. At 5’11”, Miller shot comfortably over smaller defenders, rebounded her position and used her length to contest shots across multiple matchups. She averaged 5.2 rebounds and two assists, showing that her influence extended beyond perimeter scoring. Miller closed the event with 14 points, five rebounds and two assists in the championship, completing a productive week on both ends of the floor.

Claire Stoops (Southeast All Stars) — 16.8 PPG | 4.4 RPG | 3.0 APG | 91.3% FT

Stoops played with unusual efficiency and control for a 2030 guard competing in the 16U division. The left-hander created clean scoring opportunities off the dribble, punished defenders who gave her space and converted from every level without allowing difficult attempts to dominate her possessions. She shot 59.6 percent from the field, made seven three-pointers and converted 21 of 23 free throws across five games. Stoops also used her 5’10” frame to see over pressure, make timely reads and contribute 4.4 rebounds and three assists per game. Her 2.5 assist-to-turnover ratio reflected how well she balanced scoring with organizing the offense throughout the event.

Ella Watts (Southeast All Stars) — 18.4 PPG | 9.4 RPG | 1.4 BPG | 52.2% 3PT

Watts was one of the event’s most efficient scorers and productive rebounders. She made 12 three-pointers across five games, shooting 52.2 percent from deep while giving Southeast All Stars a dependable floor spacer at 6’1”. When defenders closed out aggressively, she attacked the painted area with strength and showed comfort getting to her pull-up jumper. Watts nearly averaged a double-double and used her size well around the basket, collecting 9.4 rebounds and blocking 1.4 shots per game. Her 59.6 percent field-goal shooting and 18-for-20 performance at the free-throw line reflected how consistently she converted the opportunities she created.

Janay Carter (Lady Phenom United) — 18.2 PPG | 5.2 RPG | 3.0 APG | 2.2 SPG

Carter handled a significant share of Lady Phenom United’s offense and consistently created opportunities with her strength and ability to change direction off the dribble. Her best work came inside the arc, where she absorbed contact, maintained her balance and finished in the painted area or earned trips to the line. She converted 18 of 22 free throws during the event and delivered a 26-point performance, including the late go-ahead basket, in a 48-46 Elite Eight win over Team Elite Hubbard. Carter also contributed as a rebounder, passer and physical defender, averaging 5.2 rebounds, three assists and 2.2 steals. Her perimeter shooting was inconsistent, but she continued to influence games through her creation, defensive activity and willingness to take responsibility in important possessions.

JoJo Martin (Hardwood Elite) — 22.4 PPG | 6.6 RPG | 3.2 APG | 3.8 SPG

Martin influenced nearly every part of Hardwood Elite’s run to the championship game. She consistently attacked downhill, used her frame to finish through traffic and drew fouls at a high rate, converting 41 of 48 free throws across five games. Her physical approach did not come at the expense of efficiency, as she averaged 22.4 points while shooting 63 percent from the field. Martin was equally active defensively, jumping passing lanes, switching across positions and providing help around the painted area. That versatility was especially clear in the Final Four, where she recorded 16 points, 10 rebounds, three steals and two blocks in a 66-65 win over Della. She followed with 24 points, five rebounds and four assists in the championship, continuing to create pressure with her strength, pace and competitive approach.

Mia McKenzie (ETG Midwest) — 13.6 PPG | 5.0 RPG | 67.5% FG

McKenzie gave ETG Midwest an efficient scoring option with size on the perimeter. Rather than relying on three-point shooting, she consistently worked her way into the painted area, used her 6’0” frame to finish over smaller guards and converted 27 of 40 field-goal attempts across five games. She also averaged five rebounds, helping ETG finish possessions and create opportunities in transition. McKenzie generally played under control, made the available pass and kept her turnovers manageable while carrying a meaningful scoring role. Her length also allowed her to contest shots and disrupt passing angles, rounding out a productive event built around efficiency, composure and positional size.

Naomie Burnett (Lady Phenom United) — 14.8 PPG | 4.0 RPG | 1.6 APG | 3.0 SPG

Burnett played with pace and consistently looked to pressure defenses from the perimeter. She made 11 three-pointers across five games and used her quickness and handle to create opportunities when defenders crowded her outside shot. Her overall efficiency fluctuated, but she continued to contribute through her rebounding and defensive activity. Burnett averaged three steals per game, applying physical ball pressure and turning loose passes into transition opportunities. She also collected four rebounds per game despite playing in the backcourt. Her willingness to create carried value for Lady Phenom United, while improving her shot selection and ball security would make that aggression more consistently productive.

Saniah Jones (Della) — 20.0 PPG | 7.2 RPG | 2.2 APG | 64.8% FG

Jones was Della’s most dependable interior scorer throughout the event. She established position early, created space with her strength and consistently converted through contact in the painted area. Jones made 35 of 54 field-goal attempts and added six made free throws per game, allowing her to average 20 points without relying on perimeter shots. Her work on the glass was equally important, including 3.8 offensive rebounds per game and a 19-point, 10-rebound performance in the Sweet 16. She remained productive as the competition tightened, scoring 20 points on 6-for-10 shooting in Della’s one-point Final Four loss to Hardwood Elite. Jones played bigger than her listed height because of her positioning, physicality and ability to pursue the ball outside her immediate area.

Texas LoneStar Captures the 16U Classic Championship

Texas LoneStar 62, FAM United 37

Texas LoneStar broke the game open with shooting, ball security and defensive pressure. The champions made 12 of 21 three-point attempts, committed only three turnovers and recorded eight steals.

Classic MVP Jai Johnson scored 16 points on 8-for-9 shooting while adding four rebounds, two steals and one block. Johnson played efficiently and gave Texas LoneStar dependable production on both ends.

Landri Reynolds led all scorers with 18 points and made six three-pointers. Addison Sapp added 11 points with three three-pointers, while Auntranasia Beamon finished with eight points, three rebounds and three assists.

Paityn Dean led FAM United with 13 points, two rebounds, two assists and three made three-pointers.

Classic MVP: Jai Johnson

Johnson emerged as one of the most efficient two-way performers in the 16U Classic, combining impressive athleticism with a controlled approach that helped drive Texas LoneStar’s championship run. The 5’10” guard/wing used an explosive first step off the dribble to get into the painted area and showed the body control to finish through traffic. She also kept teammates involved, averaging 2.0 assists, while her length, quickness and competitive approach produced 1.8 steals per game. Johnson saved her best performance for the championship, scoring 16 points on 8-for-9 shooting while adding four rebounds, two steals and one block in a 62-37 victory. Her combination of efficiency, defensive versatility and physical upside made her one of the event’s most intriguing 2028 prospects and earned her 16U Classic MVP honors.

Tennessee Impact Wins the 16U Gold Championship

Tennessee Impact 53, Zone 6 Celtics Gold 45

Tennessee Impact relied on its defense and more efficient shooting to secure the Gold championship. The champions recorded 13 steals and shot 38.6 percent from the field while holding Zone 6 to 28.3 percent.

Gold MOP Piper Ball led Tennessee Impact with 16 points, six rebounds and two steals. Lily Arwood added 13 points and seven rebounds, while Emory Thomas contributed nine points, three steals and one block.

Zoe Hill led Zone 6 with 12 points, seven rebounds, two assists and three steals. Makenzie James added eight points, two rebounds and two assists. Hailey Hunt affected the game defensively with seven rebounds, three steals and four blocks.

Gold MOP: Piper Ball

Ball’s most consistent contribution was her pressure on the ball. She averaged 2.7 steals across six games, stayed active defensively and helped create transition opportunities for Tennessee Impact.

Her scoring increased in the championship as she made direct, controlled attacks into the painted area. Ball changed direction well off the dribble, finished with either hand and converted five of her six two-point attempts. She ended the final with 16 points, six rebounds and two steals after averaging nine points during the event. That championship performance, combined with her defensive work throughout the week, earned her 16U Gold MOP honors.
