3Stripes Proving Grounds Circuit Session 2

The 3Stripes Proving Grounds Circuit continued with Session 2 in Madisonville, Kentucky, bringing together programs from across the country for a competitive weekend of grassroots basketball. Hays Hornets’ Benton Williams, Seminole Hoops’ Eric Sabb, and Hype Elite’s Jaidyn Mott earned Most Outstanding Player honors after strong all-around performances during the weekend.

Strong, physical guard who plays with good feel off the ball. He moves well to open spots, stays engaged in the offense, and understands spacing. He can step into shots and knock them down, giving him value as a perimeter option. Williams led Hays Hornets to a 4-0 Session 2 record and 8-0 overall start.


Danield Rock (Livin’ The Dream – KS)

Skilled, competitive forward with size who rebounds well and can stretch the floor with range. He attacks closeouts, finishes through contact, and plays with solid feel making the right reads within the flow. As he continues to improve agility, tighten his handle, and defend more consistently in space, his overall impact will keep trending up.

Desmond Friend (Hays Hornets – TX)
15.0 PPG | 5.0 REB | 2.5 AST

Friend was productive without needing a heavy usage role. He scored well in transition, attacked straight-line gaps, and made simple reads within the offense while helping lead Hays Hornets to a 4-0 Session 2 record and 8-0 overall start.

Stretched the floor as a shooter, brought leadership, and added defensive versatility on the wing.

Jerzidan Miller-Brown (Team KST – SC)

Miller-Brown gave Team KST steady scoring production with his ability to create off the dribble, pressure defenders, and play with pace in transition. He also brought energy defensively, using his quickness to bother ball-handlers and help create extra possessions.

McCants led all 17U scorers with explosive production while also making a real impact defensively. He played with toughness at the point of attack, pressured ball-handlers, and consistently turned defensive activity into offensive momentum.

One of the more intriguing long-term prospects on the 3Stripes Proving Grounds Circuit. Patrice changes directions well for his size, gets downhill with real burst, and finishes above the rim with athleticism and length.

Tarius Weeks (Mississippi Panthers – MS)

Weeks gave Mississippi Panthers a dependable interior option with real size and strength on the block. He worked for deep catches, finished through traffic, and used his frame to control space around the basket. His rebounding production also gave them a steady presence in the frontcourt.
