Avery Kame, Addison Archer Headline Top Performers at Scholastic Series: Girls of Summer in Ladera Ranch

The Scholastic Series: Girls of Summer brought together standout girls basketball talent from across California for a competitive weekend of action in Ladera Ranch. From established high school prospects to rising middle school standouts, players delivered impressive performances throughout the event. Below is a look at the Outstanding Performers from each division.


High School Division

Outstanding Performers

Addison Archer (Rancho Christian) โ€” 17.8 PPG, 4.3 RPG, 4.3 APG

Archer uses her strength and body control to create advantages off the dribble, scores efficiently at all three levels, and consistently makes the right read as a facilitator. Defensively, she has the versatility to match up across multiple positions.

Avery Kame (Esperanza) โ€” 17.0 PPG, 3.0 APG, 2.7 SPG

Skilled lead guard with sharp vision, scoring confidence, and active defensive hands. Plays bigger than her size with strong pace control and real two-way impact.

Brielle Medrano (Bakersfield Christian) โ€” 16.8 PPG, 4.0 RPG, 3.0 3PM

Quick, explosive guard who plays with confidence and grit. She excelled at breaking down defenders, getting to the rim, and finishing through contact. Her combination of speed, handle, and toughness allowed her to impact both ends of the floor.

Diya Ahir (La Canada) โ€” 11.0 PPG, 2.5 RPG, 2.5 3PM

Compact guard who can stretch the floor, hit rhythm jumpers, and use touch shots to score over size. Defensively, she competes with discipline, takes contact, and creates extra possessions with smart positioning.

Franmarie Diaz (St. Joseph) โ€” 15.0 PPG, 7.3 RPG

Diaz was one of the stronger two-way frontcourt/wings at Scholastic Series: Girls of Summer, averaging 15.0 PPG and 7.3 RPG. Versatile positional piece with the size to play through contact, rebound in traffic, and defend multiple spots. She gives St. Joseph lineup flexibility while still providing consistent scoring production.

Kaylee Albritton (Lynwood) โ€” 14.8 PPG, 3.8 RPG, 2.0 SPG

Active guard with scoring pop, quick defensive reactions, and the toughness to make plays outside the box score. She pressures the ball, reads passing lanes, rebounds well for her position, and brings the type of defensive edge that translates against stronger guard matchups.

Maliyah Murray (Prodigy) โ€” 13.0 PPG, 2.3 APG, 2.5 SPG

Advanced feel for the game – long, fluid athlete with natural playmaking instincts.Operates with poise and purpose, using vision and footwork to create advantages.Defensive communicator who anchors with length, activity, and competitive energy.

Maya Urteaga (Oak Park) โ€” 14.0 PPG, 2.3 APG, 2.5 3PM

Volume scoring guard with three-level shot creation. One of the better perimeter shooters in the Southern Section. Reads the game well, anticipates plays, and handles pressure with a gritty approach.

Mia Minshall (St. Joseph) โ€” 14.5 PPG, 5.3 RPG, 2.0 APG

She has the size and skill to play either guard spot, and she does a good job balancing when to score versus when to move the ball. She gets downhill with purpose, absorbs contact well, and can make the simple read without forcing the game. Her production reflects a guard who is comfortable carrying offense while still keeping teammates involved.

Zara Ahaiwe (Rancho Cucamonga) โ€” 16.8 PPG, 5.3 RPG, 2.0 SPG

She has a smooth scoring game and can get points in different ways without looking rushed. She is comfortable attacking in transition, finishing through contact, and making plays off defensive activity. Her length and timing show up defensively, where she can pressure passing lanes and create easy offense going the other way.
