Six players separated themselves from the field by leading their teams to championships and earning Tournament Most Outstanding Player honors. Kekela (HI) completed a perfect 5-0 championship run to capture the 17U Gold Earn Your Stripes title at the 2026 3Stripes Gold West Championships. After finishing unbeaten in Pool B with victories over Utah Valley Prime (53-42) and Drive Basketball (56-55), Kekela advanced through the championship bracket with a 73-67 win over AZ Gremlins in the quarterfinals, a 63-46 semifinal victory over 4S Elite Basketball, and a thrilling 50-49 championship win over Salt Lake Rebels to secure the title.
