Closing Thoughts
Session I established an early 17U hierarchy, with Compton Magic opening at No. 1 in Select after a 4–0 start. New Heights and New World also went unbeaten, giving the Select division multiple teams with strong early momentum.
Austin Rivers SE Elite, Team Loaded, and Breakaway Basketball each finished 3–1, while programs like Mass Rivals, Indiana Elite, Phenom United, Game Elite, BABC, Garner Road, Team Loaded South, D1 Minnesota, and Dream Vision remain firmly in the mix entering the next session.
In 3 Stripes play, Brookwood Lu Dort Elite and Lakeshow both went 4–0, while Open Gym Premier, ETG, and AE5 opened with strong 3–1 weekends.
Individually, Darius Wabbington helped lead the No. 1 team in the field and earned MOP honors, while the All-Session teams reflected the depth of the 17U field with high-level scoring, positional size, guard play, and two-way production across the board.
Session II will be important in tightening the rankings, separating the top Select contenders, and showing which 3 Stripes programs can continue building off strong opening-session starts.
