The 2025–26 basketball season is set to tip off in full force when the Grassroots 365 Halloween Classic brings together over 350 teams in Orange County, California on October 25–26.
Before the new season gets underway, Scope Scouting is taking a look back at the standout programs and players who defined the 2024–25 grassroots basketball season.
From regional powerhouses to national champions, the competition across the G365, adidas Jr 3SSB, and MSCS circuits produced elite-level performances that shaped this year’s Scope Team Rankings.
Early fall events such as the G365 King of the Town and Bay Breeze (Oakland, CA), G365 Fall Kickoff (Orange County, CA), G365 Stampede (Goodyear, AZ), G365 Emerald City Classic (Seattle, WA), and the adidas Jr 3SSB West Tip-Off (Ladera Ranch, CA) already provided a preview of the talent heading into the new year.

Class of 2029
14U Champions: Team Lillard (Oakland, CA)
Team Lillard captured multiple G365 and Jr 3SSB titles on the West Coast, including the adidas Jr 3SSB Southern Regional in Austin, Texas. They capped their dominant year by defeating #4 Louisville Magic at the adidas Jr 3SSB National Championship, which featured four of the nation’s Top 10 teams.

Rondo Elite swept both the adidas Jr 3SSB National Championship and MSCS Championship, winning titles in fields that included seven of the nation’s Top 10 ranked teams.

12U Champions: Legion Elite (TX)
Legion Elite won the MSCS Championship in a field that featured four of the Top 10 nationally ranked teams. Their breakout came at the MSCS Southern Regional in Dallas, where they captured the title over a loaded Southern field.

Hoop Nation KC dominated coast-to-coast, winning both the adidas Jr 3SSB National Championship and the G365 Championship in California—the largest youth basketball event on the West Coast.

Looking Ahead…
As the 2025–26 season begins, all eyes will turn to early events such as the G365 Halloween Classic, G365 Winter Challenge and adidas Jr 3SSB Regional Events, which will shape the first Scope Team Rankings of the new season.
The stage is set for another year of elite youth basketball talent on the G365 and adidas Jr 3SSB circuits that ends with the Road to Vegas in the Summer.
