Scott is coming off a standout sophomore campaign in which he averaged 18.5 points and 4 assists per game, routinely carrying the offensive load while elevating those around him. His production and leadership earned him major postseason recognition, including:

- Division 1 2nd Team All–CIF SS
- 3rd Team All–Orange County
- California All-State Underclassman Team
