2027 Season Preview — Maxwell Scott, Corona Del Mar – Stock Riser

November 2025

Entering the new season, 2027 guard Maxwell Scott has firmly established himself as one of Southern California’s premier rising prospects—and all signs point to an even bigger breakout year ahead.

Scott is coming off a standout sophomore campaign in which he averaged 18.5 points and 4 assists per game, routinely carrying the offensive load while elevating those around him. His production and leadership earned him major postseason recognition, including:

  • 1st Team All–Sunset League
  • Division 1 2nd Team All–CIF SS
  • 3rd Team All–Orange County
  • California All-State Underclassman Team

What sets Scott apart is the complete blend of scoring ability, decision-making, and poise that he brings to the backcourt. He’s a three-level threat with advanced feel, a natural passer who creates advantages, and a competitor who consistently impacts winning. With added strength, maturity, and confidence, he’s poised to take another leap.

As Corona del Mar looks to make noise this season, expect Scott to be at the center of everything. His trajectory is pointing sharply upward—a true stock riser and a player everyone should be watching closely in 2027.
