The Jr. 3SSB West Regionals took over Open Gym Premier in Oakland, drawing top youth programs from Northern California, Southern California, Hawaii, Arizona, Utah, and Nevada. With divisions ranging from 11U to 14U, the weekend featured high-level competition, rising prospects, and standout team performances. The 14U Gold Division emerged as one of the most competitive divisions, with multiple teams undefeated or near the top, while individual talent across the board caught eyes.

Omar Muhammad | 6’0” Wing | Nation Prep | Fresno, CA
Omar Muhammad is a true national-level prospect and one of the most electrifying athletes in the 2030 class. From the opening tip, he commanded attention with his explosiveness, attacking the rim with force, hang-time, and precision. His ability to elevate over defenders, absorb contact, and finish through traffic makes him a constant scoring threat in transition and half-court sets alike.
Defensively, Omar is equally impactful. He disrupts passing lanes with elite instincts, creates turnovers, and sparks fast breaks with his athleticism. His length, speed, and agility allow him to guard multiple positions, while his competitive intensity energizes teammates and shifts momentum in critical moments.
Beyond his physical gifts, Omar demonstrates a high basketball IQ, knowing when to attack, when to kick out, and how to read defenses on the fly. He thrives in all areas—transition, half-court, perimeter shooting, and finishing inside—making him a complete, high-impact player. With his combination of advance athletic tools, skill, and competitive drive, Omar Muhammad is not just a standout in the Jr. 3SSB West Regionals—he’s one of the top prospects in the nation, capable of changing the game every time he touches the ball.
