Megan played with confidence and was accurate from deep with her shot. She connected on multiple three-point attempts and was just as willing to attack the next level of the court and score in the paint from the mid-range. She does a good job of making the right play that either got herself open or allowed her teammate to be in position for a high percentage shot. She didn’t shy away from getting after it on the defensive end and was able to jump the passing lanes. A lot of those energy plays led to deflections and steals that got her team straight into transition.
The Next Jump: She is an integral part of her team’s offense and defensive pressure on the wing but could look to be more aggressive crashing the boards and leading the break after clearing the glass. She has the capability to do both of these things, but just needs to prove it to herself.Girls Scholastic National Preview

Zara displayed a confident outside shot and wasn’t afraid to make the defense respect her range as she connected on multiple three’s during the game. If the defense pressured her, she was just as poised putting the ball on the floor and finishing off multiple drives through contact, especially to her left side. She has the physicality and length to battle inside for rebounds and had no issue clearing the glass and pushing the tempo in the fastbreak. Anytime she needed to create space or get the defender out of position, her hesitation dribble and strong footwork gave her the opportunities to score at all levels of the court.
The Next Jump: She has the foundations and skill set of moves to make her a versatile offensive threat. Adding the lateral side of the game with her pace and speed with the ball is the next element that should be added to her game.Girls Scholastic National Preview

This point guard possesses excellent handles and can break down any opponent on the court with her bag of moves but is tactical with her approach. To compliment her dribbling, her footwork allowed her to create space from the defense. She didn’t hesitate to hit her opponent with a strong first step to the rim before stopping on a dime and using her step back jumper to elevate and score. She is comfortable running the pick and roll with her big and has the court vision to either look for her shot or find her teammate curling to the basket. Daniela likes to use her vision as a distributor just as much as her ability to score.
The Next Jump: To compliment her offensive prowess, she needs to focus on her defense from the help side and improving her propensity to chip in as a rebounder. Adding these components could help elevate her game to the next level.Girls Scholastic National Preview

Jackie is a great all-around player that effects the game on both ends of the floor, and dominates the game in spite of being one of the smallest players on the floor game in and game out. On the offensive end, she stretches the defense with her unbelievable range. This allows her the ability to get past the arc and make impressive plays for herself and her teammates in the lane. Jackie's quick hands make her a menace on defense as well as she had many steals and deflections that led to transition points for her squad. The ability to slice through the defense like no other makes her one of the most fun players we’ve seen and she deserves more attention than she’s already getting.
The Next Jump: Jackie is exceptional at most things, but she could stand to become more of a creative finisher on the inside. She has no problem challenging any player, no matter how tall they are. The attitude and aggressiveness she brings to the floor was a sight to see. Maria knows who she is and loves to show that over the course of a game. Sometimes it was hitting a nasty pull-up three in transition and sometimes it came from being crafty in the paint and around the rim. She’s got hands in the passing lane and stays low to the ground as a defender making it difficult to get past her. As a natural scorer with a quick release jumper, she pairs that being a strong passer that is able to see cross-court. The Seattle commit is a fiery young wing who will get her team going.
The Next Jump: Maria has unlimited potential that will be exciting to watch in the future. At the collegiate level she’ll end up being a wing, and a sniper at that. Arguably her best skill is her shooting, which is something that she doesn’t even need to display to impact the game.
The Next Jump: She plays on a team full of other D1 players which is something to get used to. Being more vocal and aggressive is needed to prove to coaches that she is capable of getting her own.Girls Scholastic National Preview

A high IQ combo guard that understands how to get the defense to collapse and dump it down. She’s a three level scorer when taking the ball to the cup with high floaters over the defense, a dangerous pull-up at the elbows and a knockdown shot from outside. The point guard has a motor that keeps going on the defensive end when she causes havoc in the team’s crazy trap defense. She’s got quick hands to pick on-ball but also makes smart decisions in help. Keonni is equally as good at spacing the floor as a shooter, as she is doing damage with the ball.
The Next Jump: On the offensive end there aren't any flaws to catch besides continuing to be more aggressive. As a defender though she needs to make sure to not gamble as much because it led to a few easy baskets for the other team.Girls Scholastic National Preview

Maddie has a strong outside shot and wasn’t afraid to space the court and make the defense respect her range. She showed a willingness to work on the defensive end and stayed in front of her opponent while fighting through the screens. She is a willing rebounder and showed tons of potential as an underclassman who is already playing at a high level on Varsity. She plays well within the flow of her team and being as accurate as she is as a shooter, it adds a lot of value to her team.
The Next Jump: She was somewhat passive when looking for her shot. Especially with the accuracy she displayed from deep, she could look to assert herself more as a scoring option. That confidence can be built as her game matures.Girls Scholastic National Preview

Handles for days and a quick decision maker with the ball. She finishes strong at the rim going up with either hand. The point guard is so calm and collected in the back court. She got pressured the entire game and it was like it didn’t even phase her. A pickpocket on the defensive end with no issues guarding up taller wings. When she gets it going, there isn’t much anyone can do to stop her. The combo guard scores at all three levels and plays with a steady pace that is hard to match.
The Next Jump: In a tough loss, Amalia has to show more aggressiveness and be willing to take control. She has it in her but was so passive at times. Carrington is a force on the wing that gets it done on both ends. She is an incredible slasher that is hard to stop once she gets downhill. She is also very good at exploiting her mismatches and will make plays from the mid-post area. Davis also showed the ability to step out and shoot to keep the defense honest. Carrington's best trait is her ability to defend and wreak havoc on defense. She can guard multiple positions and is great at anticipating passes for steals. Those steals led to many opportunities in transition for her and her teammates. Along with her lightning first step, she makes an imprint on the floor.
The Next Jump: Seeing more of a willingness to shoot from the outside from Carrington is important. She has adequate form, and showed she could knock her shots down, but still seemed to rely on driving to the basket a bit too much. A willingness to take and make outside shots will be more beneficial for her when playing teams that are bigger and more athletic than the squad she faced today.Girls Scholastic National Preview

The 2028 phenom is an eyes up, bully ball, positionless basketball player. Defensively she is engaged and looks like a lion ready to pounce on her prey. She’s quick enough to stay with guards and strong enough to defend tall wings. A mid-range savant who conserves her energy and knows when to apply pressure, and when to get her girls involved. She can stretch the floor with a smooth jumper from beyond the arc but doesn't like to settle. No one can push her off her line, and you’ll catch her running and getting ready to receive football catches from full-court. Not much anyone can do to stop her with the combination of strength and skill and she is only a freshman. Watch out.
The Next Jump: The only knock on her game at the moment is her left hand around the rim. That doesn’t mean she doesn’t have it on her, but when she is around the rim the right hand is being relied upon.Girls Scholastic National Preview

Cydnee also can put it on the floor and make plays in a guard-like fashion. Most impressively, she is also a very good passer which allows her to conduct the offense from the top. her height and frame also allow her to be a terror on the glass on both ends. This comes as no surprise as Cydnee is already getting looks from high D1 schools in both basketball and volleyball.

Defensively she stays vocal and likes to pressure up on guards to cause problems. A guard who understands how to space the floor as a shooter and also gets behind the defense. Because of her constant movement, passing and shooting, the senior guard should be getting some more looks as long as she continues playing hard.

While she is confident handling the ball on the perimeter, she displayed a knack for getting into the key and being able to score at will in the mid-range. She used pump fakes and hesitation steps to get the defense out of position and then attacked the rim hard to score through contact. As a utility player she has great court vision and didn’t hesitate to hit the cutting teammate with crisp passes for the assist. Skylah also made it a point to get into the lanes in the fastbreak and sprinted the court looking to score in transition. Being able to get the shot off so quick from the swing is just one of her great qualities. As good as her creating is, her spot-up shooting from beyond the arc is even better. Playing more as a wing, the calmness that she brings to the floor shows makes her never speed up and helps her be patient and get good opportunities.

The Next Jump: She brings tremendous value to both ends of the floor but her three-point shot is the only thing missing. In the middle of playing the big with the skills of a forward, she is a strong defender who is great at altering shots and rebounding the ball at both ends of the court. She showed a willingness to move without the ball and made herself an active target for her teammates to find with the assist. Alana displayed confidence scoring down low and wasn’t afraid to start with her back to the basket when going to work in the paint. In today’s game of heavy perimeter play at all ages of basketball, it’s refreshing to see a younger player who is adept at using their post footwork to elevate themselves as an offensive threat.
The Next Jump: She played a little out of control and was almost too aggressive at times going after blocks instead of staying in her defensive position. An above average athlete who plays with great pace and a nice bounce in his game. His handles are tight, combined with great footwork, and he is great at getting into the paint off-the-dribble. He’s also equipped with a smooth three-point shot, combined with a quick release. He has deep range, making him a legit threat from behind the arc, and is also able to blow by you in the paint. When getting into the paint, he has the skill and patience to score it in a variety of ways. Whether it’s through floaters, pivots, or absorbing contact to finish in the air. He is a combo guard that colleges should definitely pay attention to.
The Next Jump: Mustafa has a great offensive skill set, but would greatly benefit from developing his lateral quickness, to help with his ability to guard the perimeter at the next collegiate level. A lot of promise and if he can clean some of that up, there will be some looks coming his way.Scholastic National Preview

Scholastic National Preview
09/24/24
Charles has an extremely quick first step and the ability to get into the paint at will. He has a nice handle, allowing him the ability to use his elite quickness and punish the defense. He has a nice mid-range pull up jumper with nice elevation. For being a bit undersized, he is crafty in the paint, maneuvering around bigs, and finding different angles to score around the basket. He is a capable three-point shooter, forcing the opposition to guard him out there, making his attack game more effective. He is a solid on-ball defender, but is excellent in anticipation of jumping the passing lanes.
The Next Jump: He would greatly benefit from becoming more consistent from beyond the arc, as well as utilizing the quickness he already possesses on the defensive end of the floor. Undersized guards in college must do two things at a high level, shoot the three and pick up full court to cause havoc on defense.Scholastic National Preview

This big guard is a versatile player with a strong offensive skill set, highlighted by his vision, passing, and finishing ability. With continued development in his three-point shooting and mid range game, he has the potential to be a significant contributor at the next level. His combination of size and athleticism makes him a player to watch as he continues to grow. Defensively, he has the size to match up against bigger wing players, and quickness to stay in front of smaller, quick guards. He is an excellent passer, who anticipates the play and uses his height to see the court. Nick is patient in the pick and roll, making smart decisions whether to pass or finish. He exhibits a tight handle, allowing him to navigate through defenses effectively. His nice first step for a bigger guard enables him to create space and drive to the basket. He is perhaps most efficient playing out of the post, punishing smaller guards, with his scoring or passing out of the post. He is a great finisher in the paint, using his athleticism, size and IQ.
The Next Jump: Though he is a capable shooter and scorer, he would benefit from becoming more consistent with his three-point jump shot as well as his mid-range jumper. Nick needs to limit the careless turnovers and play through the no calls, rather than engaging with the referee’s while the play continues on.Scholastic National Preview

09/24/24
An intriguing wing, with good length and a beautiful jump shot. He is an excellent athlete with a quick release that makes him tough to defend. He has no issues getting his shot off, whether running the lane in transition or getting up a good look with a hard closeout. Blake is also a high flier who is a strong offensive rebounder and a threat to finish at the rim. He does a good job using his length and athleticism to guard on the perimeter and keep his man out of the paint. He definitely needs to be on college coaches' radar, with his shooting ability and athleticism.
The Next Jump: Getting a tighter handle will definitely help Blake be a true scorer in the half-court, helping him to get into the paint more efficiently. Adding strength, that will allow him to become a better penetrator and a much better on-ball defender. Doing these things will be necessary if he wants to compete at the collegiate level.Scholastic National Preview

Tremendous length and desire for a prospect that can guard 1-5 on the basketball floor. His three-point jumper stood out with his size and ability to capitalize on whatever matchup he has. If you’re too small then he’s going to bully you and if you’ve got size then he’s going to use his quickness. He is a one-man block party where despite his offensive prowess, he can change the game by himself defensively. As more of a big man his movement without the ball sets him up for success. He is a complete player with little to no weaknesses.
The Next Jump: As dominant as he is, the big forward definitely can assert himself more into the offense. He does a great job of letting the game come to him but being in more of an attack mode is what these High Major schools are looking for.Scholastic National Preview

Already becoming a better shooter than the last time we saw him. He is an agile lefty with his IQ in the lane that is very impressive. He attacks hard as a finisher, but even more impressive is his activeness moving without the ball. It leads to easy layups and also opens up the game for his teammates. With his shooting stroke improved, it brings a different element to his game as it forces the defense to push up which helps him get to his attacking game. Athletic and strong as a defender as well helps round out his game.
The Next Jump: He was able to show that he can attack both ways but wants to attack hard left. This limits his options when the defense forces him.Scholastic National Preview

09/22/24
Silky smooth is the best way to describe how Ashton moves around the court. He has a nice and easy game, with elite handles. Present is a smooth three-point shot, and an even better pull up jumper in the mid-range. Ahston is always under control, never getting sped up or rattled by pressure. He is a difficult cover, who attacks at the defender’s chest, rather than trying to go around them. He constantly was getting into the paint and finished through contact, and drawing the and-ones. He anticipates the passing lanes well, getting his hands on multiple passes. He has a high level ability to guard on the ball as well. He should have no problems handling the point guard duties at the collegiate level, especially being a bigger guard.
The Next Jump: Becoming a more consistent outside shooter will help Ashton at the next level. He needs to become a stronger shooter from behind the arc to compliment his slot game and ability to get to the rim.Scholastic National Preview

09/21/24
The most tenacious on ball defender you will see, constantly making opposing teams initiate their offense from 30 feet out. His pursuit of the ball is relentless, stealing passes, picking off defenders dribbling, or tapping the ball from behind on unsuspecting players. He is truly a game changer from the defensive side of the ball. For being an undersized guard, he does an excellent job of never over-penetrating and being in a compromised position with the ball. Has a nice handle and uses a shifty misdirection to get by his defenders and get in the paint with ease. He is a capable shooter, showing the ability to knock down open three’s. Myles will end up a Division 1 player and very few players these days make their impact from the defensive side of the ball, but he has shown you can get recruited by dominating that side of the ball.
The Next Jump: Getting Myles’ offensive game to catch up to his defense will determine how high he climbs up the ladder. He needs to show more consistency from outside, and really work on his mid-range and floater game as well.Scholastic National Preview

Scholastic National Preview
09/23/24
A jump-shooting point guard who can do a variety of things on the offensive end. He is good in the open court as a ball handler combined with stellar passing. Jakoi is great at staying in front of guards and has enough strength to defend players a little bigger than him. As a striker he goes hard at the rim downhill while finishing with both hands. He is tough to stay in front of with his speed which makes him dangerous as a scorer.
The Next Jump: As a guard he brings a lot of finesse but has room to grow using power when driving to the basket. The potential is there so retooling some of his bag will go a long way. Along with that he was lazy at times as a defender so being more aggressive on that end will also make a big difference.Scholastic National Preview

Possessing a solid frame and a quick first step, Issac is difficult to keep out of the paint. He often bullies opposing defenders to get to his spots. His handles are tight, and he easily gets into and through tight spaces. Issac compliments his ability to drive with a very nice jump shot if you are not there on the catch, and will knock down the three with consistency. Pairing his elite offensive game is an equally elite on-ball defensive ability. He plays defense with intensity and purpose. Being a two-way player with his ability, is what separates Issac from most prospects and will allow him to immediately be an impact player at New Mexico, whom he just committed to.
The Next Jump: For Issac to really excel at the next level, he needs to become a dynamic shooter to complement his defense and ball handling ability. Already a very good shooter, he will have to take it to a higher level, as he may be asked to play off the ball as well.Scholastic National Preview

Louis is a very versatile player who can do whatever you need on the floor. Getting grown man boards and willing to put his body on the line, are two separators with his game. Defensively, he is great in help and seems to like taking on tough defensive matchups. The wing can play multiple positions on the floor and knows how to get his own shot. The mid-range is where he can show some real damage with his long frame, but pairing with his three-point shooting makes him tough to defend. A high level defender and X-Factor makes him an exciting player to watch.
The Next Jump: He is a talented wing but he is too quiet on the floor. If he wants to start to get some looks, being more vocal on both ends will get him some attention.Scholastic National Preview

One of the highest IQ players you’ll watch. Very vocal on the floor and a great team player. The true point guard has some size to him but isn’t as tall as you would think with the attitude he plays with. He defends with a purpose and takes pride in getting stops. He’ll pick your pocket and then embarrass you on the fast break by making a play for his teammate. The way he controls the pace of not just his team but the opposing is a sight to see. His handles and first step is what makes him stand out and that is just a small part of his game.
The Next Jump: there is no limit to his all-around offensive and defensive game. With that said, something to improve upon is some careless turnovers that in tight games could lead to some bad situations.Scholastic National Preview

Mark has nice range on his jump shot, capable of knocking down open shots. He is a physical guard who loves to attack the paint. Mark has a nice handle with an explosive first step, who is dynamic in transition. He really excels on the defensive side of the ball, using his strength and speed to lock up defenders. He also has a nice wingspan that enables him to be disruptive on the defensive side of the ball. As a shifty guard he causes a lot of pressure and will not let up as a downhill driver. His size surprises the defense cause he is way stronger than he looks and that also allows him to guard up.
The Next Jump: Mark needs to tighten his handle up to get by defenders in the half court, and he needs to continue to develop his perimeter jump shot. He is a capable shooter, but really needs to become more of a knockdown shooter.Scholastic National Preview

Slim knows how to put the ball in the hoop. Whether it’s coming from his sweet jumper or his acrobatic finishing, the combo guard gets it done. Something he does that a lot of others don’t is his patience to not put the ball straight on the floor. He’s very calm under pressure while surveying the floor as a ball handler. He uses his long arms defensively in the passing lane as well as causing disruption on-ball. The guard plays well with and without the ball which will serve him well going into the collegiate level. With the talent he already has and a big Junior season, there’s no reason he won’t see some High Major offers come through.
The Next Jump: His three-point shot is there but he is a bit streaky at times. For being a high level player, there is no reason he shouldn’t have a more reliable shot with everything else he does on the floor.Scholastic National Preview

Combining all these attributes, he has supreme confidence in his ability to score on anyone. He is a solid on ball defender, using strength and athleticism to keep guys in front of him. The guard is not afraid to mix it up on the boards, and Lorenzo is a high level rebounder at the guard position.

He is the ultimate get it done combo guard. Christopher gets up and guards 94 feet, and defends without fouling. He doesn’t give up on plays on either end while diving on the floor for loose balls. The guard is a strong finisher with either hand with a floater game that is on point. Runs the point position well with a lot of energy, pairing with his shooting ability allows him to succeed with or without the ball in his hands. He makes his mark on the defensive end of the floor bringing so much life to the team, leading to extra energy plays that don’t happen if he isn’t on your team. As much as JJ loves to attack and put points on the board, he is a very willing passer. Showing off his vision on the break with the ball and in the half-court as a de facto point guard. Defensively when he’s pressuring up he is too quick to get by. As a positionless player he makes really smart decisions in traffic, can finish both ways and he has great power when attacking the basket. Offensive rebounds, dunks and a lot of energy is what he will do throughout the course of a game.

Knockdown lefty shooter who brings a lot of life to his team. He uses his length to shoot over the defense. Aaron single-handedly kept his team in the game with his shooting against the big Fairmont Prep team. For a lengthy player, he dribbles low to the ground and can handle it with the best of them. He used his length to stay in front of opposing ball handlers and continued to make it tough on them. A true point guard who does everything at a high level, but what separates Ryan from most high school players is his next level IQ. He reads the flow of the game with ease, picking apart the defense with his precision passing, on time and on target. Adding to that is his lethal outside jump shot, and his silky smooth handles getting to the rim or the pull up jumper. He has a tight handle, great footwork, and is very shifty off the bounce. His IQ also extends to the defensive side of the ball, where he is able to combat his lack of size with headiness. He is smart enough and just quick enough to cover opposing teams point guards. Off the ball he is a menace, disrupting the other teams sets, by reading the plays and coming up with deflections and taking charges. Colleges looking for a true point guard who can run a team and score the ball, need to put Ryan on their radar.

Rarely is there a game where you will find a point guard to match the speed of Oliver. On numerous occasions, he would race up the court and beat the defense back, even on made baskets. He is an absolute blur, with a nice handle, sparking his team's transition offense. He is always looking for the pass ahead as well, never relying just on dribbling the ball up the court. Even at his pace, he is able to slow the game down to find open teammates. He is very difficult to keep out of the paint, as well as having a capable pull up jump shot with high elevation, making it difficult to block even with taller defenders. Defensively, he has great instincts on jumping passing lanes, and has the ability to lockdown opposing guards.
The Next Jump: Oliver would greatly improve his game by developing a consistent jump shot. There is no reason why Oliver can’t be the most lockdown defender in southern California with his speed, and if he can decide to be that, he will see his stock go through the roof.Scholastic National Preview

One of the top wing scorers on the West Coast, Luke is not just a three-point shooter. He controls a high level game off the bounce to compliment his unlimited range. Arguably the best shooter in California and one of the best in the country, he has exceptional range and is capable of hitting shots the second he crosses half court. His ability to put it on the floor and to play in the pick and roll makes him even more of a threat on offense. He plays above the rim, capable of throwing down a vicious dunk from a drive, back cut, or when flying in for a tip dunk on a missed shot. An added aspect to Luke’s game is his ability to make plays in the half court, more particularly as the ball handler in the pick and roll. Luke is also a high level defender who will take on the challenge of guarding the opposing team's best player. He takes pride in challenging drives at the rim, on multiple occasions, he blocked shots as the weak side defender.
The Next Jump: Luke’s offense is right up there with the best of them, and the only thing to nitpick is improving his handles to better take players off-the-dribble. Damarian is a true shot blocking artist, who has impeccable timing and range that extends as high as he needs to reach to get to the ball. Snatching 4 blocks by halftime, should’ve been 6, as two were called fouls, he is a game changer on the defensive end. Complimenting his shot blocking ability is his ability to switch out and cover point guards, having amazing footwork for a sophomore, making him a nightmare for opposing coaches. It doesn't end with a shot block because now you have to deal with him sprinting out in transition, rim running, and finishing effortlessly around the basket, using his right, left, or a thunderous dunk! He has great hands and footwork, with an ability to catch, maneuver around the defense and finish, while sprinting up the court in transition. Damarian combines this with an ability to take a defensive rebound and handle the ball in transition and make the right play with the ball. He is a high level offensive rebounder, who attacks the glass on every shot. His shot looks like it will progress into a weapon as he matures and develops his game.
The Next Jump: Damarian is way ahead of schedule for a sophomore big on the defensive side of the ball, and it would be good for Damarian to put on some added strength to battle bigger post players. Brandon gets low to the ground with his handle, and uses his size and athleticism to get by defenders off the bounce, into his drives. He exhibits elite footwork and patience in the paint, making him difficult to guard. Brandon has great strength and balance, and is very difficult to keep out of the paint. Using his footwork, speed and strength on the defensive end he bodies up against bigs, and can recover quickly on smaller guards and block their shot. His offensive scoring ability is complimented by his high level passing. He is a capable three-point shooter, making defenses play him honest.
The Next Jump: As Brandon looks to play more of a wing than before, becoming a more efficient three-point shooter will help him get the higher offers he’s looking for during his senior season. Fundamentals are also an underrated part of his game including boxing out to grab grown man boards, defending without fouling and being a willing passer. Mateo's build is a big help for his defense when guarding players who were taller than him. He brings a lot of influence to where his team goes. Along with his slot game, his paint game also was very present when attacking hard.

Strong and physical for a lead guard, Semaj excels in the open court, attacking the paint and finishing at the rim, with power. He has a strong enough handle, able to run the point, and get his team into offense, though he primarily plays off the ball. He is an excellent on-ball defender, using a combination of speed, strength and active hands. Semaj loves to rebound on both ends of the floor, which is an often overlooked skill for guards. Combining his defense along with rebounding, Semaj is able to directly impact winning without the ball in his hands. On top of that he is a utility player that can play 1-4 on both ends of the floor which will be a big aspect of his game for the next level.
The Next Jump: For Semaj to really take the next jump in his playing career, he needs to tighten his handles more and be able to create drives in the half court. An elite leader on the team, constantly communicating with his teammates and coaches. DeLan is not afraid to get on his teammates, and also pick them up and provide encouragement. He is a very athletic and physically imposing player, running his team more like a middle linebacker than a quarterback. He has the strength and athleticism to guard positions 1-5, has no issues being matched up with opposing teams point guards or forwards. As a point forward, he effectively handles the ball and facilitates the offense, showcasing his ability to create opportunities for teammates. His elite athleticism stands out, enabling him to excel in transition and finish strong at the rim. DeLan’s explosiveness creates a significant advantage on both ends of the floor. He showed an ability to knock down open shots and finish through contact. With a much bigger role heading into this season, many programs should jump on this kid.
The Next Jump: DeLan needs his offensive game to catch up to his defense and leadership ability, if he wants to get some more calls. A capable finisher in the paint, he needs to become more efficient in the paint and with his jump shot.Scholastic National Preview

Scholastic National Preview
09/21/24
Rodney is a controlling point guard who is an assist machine. He is a great percentage shooter, who does a fantastic job of setting up his teammates. A standout on-ball defender, who took on the challenge of defending the opposing team's star guard and held him down. His change of pace is what helps him get his teammates open so easily. Although he is a true point, his off-ball spacing is something that can set himself apart and also is so important when playing with a stacked team like Santa Margarita.
The Next Jump: He is very much a pass first guard and does a good job at that. Playing against tough competition, he has to do a better job of mixing it up and laying it up or else he will get trapped in between.Scholastic National Preview

Scholastic National Preview
09/21/24
From the tip, you can see that Brayden moves differently than most players on the court, showcasing agility and footwork that sets him apart. His elite footwork allows him to create space and find angles for scoring and passing. He displays a unique ability to create separation whether shooting a step back three, playing in the pick and roll, or getting to his midrange pullup. A knockdown shooter with unlimited range, he consistently hits shots under pressure. His ability to shoot comfortably while being guarded allows him to draw fouls from beyond the arc. Strong and patient, he excels at playing off two feet, allowing him to make the right basketball play. Picking up opponents full court, applying heavy on-ball pressure with quick feet and a strong frame. His defensive tenacity disrupts opposing offenses and creates turnovers. Brayden has all the tools to be a future professional. With his combination of scoring ability, defensive intensity, and unique movement, he stands out as a game-changer on both ends of the floor.
The Next Jump: Hard to find a flaw in Brayden’s game, but if we look at his jump to the High Major and NBA levels, it would benefit Brayden to work on speeding up his shot and continue to not let up.Scholastic National Preview

09/22/24
Even as a freshman this kid doesn’t shy away from anyone and is willing to drive amongst the trees. He is an energetic lefty wing who does whatever the team needs to win. Sometimes that’s playing hard defense on the opposing best player and other times that driving in and out of traffic. He already has so much length and athleticism that helps him when going up for boards and finishing over the top around the rim. Jaden has a sweet lefty stroke that he loves to use when shooting off the swing in the wing slots. He does whatever the team is missing and all coaches are looking for a young forward like this.
The Next Jump: He brings a lot of energy to the floor and has a lot of raw talent. Jaden needs to use some of that when and learn to be more aggressive with the ball in his hands. Most of the time he lets the game come to him and instead he should be going out and taking it.Scholastic National Preview

A good athlete with a strong physical presence on the court. His explosiveness allows him to finish effectively in the paint and compete at a high level. Dominic displays a relentless pursuit of the basketball, especially on the offensive boards. His aggressiveness and competitiveness creates extra possessions. He runs the floor hard, sprinting his lanes looking for easy buckets in transition. He enjoys picking up full court, showcasing his high energy and commitment on the defensive end. His intensity can disrupt opposing offenses and create opportunities for his team. He is a solid catch-and-shoot three-point shooter, while not yet a primary weapon, he can stretch the floor and keep defenses honest when given space.
The Next Jump: Needs to work on his handles to become more effective in creating his own shot and navigating through defenses. Improving dribbling skills will enhance his offensive versatility. While he has a solid catch-and-shoot game, he must develop consistency in his perimeter jump shot to become a more well-rounded offensive threat.Scholastic National Preview

Darrion has the size of a big forward, but the passing, ball handling and skill of a guard. He is a matchup problem for opponents. You can’t put a big on him, and guards are often unable to keep him out of the paint. He is an excellent passer, whether it’s looking over the top of defenses to find a shooter on the weak side, throwing the long full court pass, or passing out of the post. As a utility player he is a threat to pick apart the defense. He is a solid post player, with excellent footwork and the ability to finish with both hands around the rim.
The Next Jump: Possessing excellent size and athleticism is no doubt an asset, but Darrion needs to work on refining his scoring abilities because at the next level there will be bigger and stronger players there. From beyond the arc, to his mid-range jumper, there is room for improvement.Scholastic National Preview

A solid finisher with springs for legs that you’d never expect until you see him poster someone. He knows how to control the ball but moves really well without it. Wesley is a pestering defender who loves to get low and poke the ball out and get out in transition. He does great things with the ball in his hands as a slasher and passer. With his team he plays much more off-ball so you can see he is a quality spot up shooter which because he can do both, that becomes a useful tool as a coach. The point guard is a real leader on both ends.
The Next Jump: With solid size as a guard, he uses his strength to stop players defensively. His lateral movement though needs some work as he isn’t as quick going side to side. Working on that is important as he looks to work his way to higher collegiate offers this year.Scholastic National Preview

Fall Kickoff
09/17/24
Playing as the rover in their press, he racked up steals in the passing lane. He makes an impact whether he is scoring or not but Yowin made a big presence in the paint as a scorer through floaters and going up strong. You’ll see him finish up high with both hands athletically with some acrobatic finishes. His lateral quickness on both ends was impressive seeing how much ground he is able to cover in so little time. After getting in the gym and improving upon the raw talent he possesses, he can be an intriguing prospect to watch.
The Next Jump: His defensive mentality makes him an important part of any roster. Retooling his offensive game including his shotmaking outside of the paint will make him more valuable as he continues to develop.Fall Kickoff

Physically imposing on the floor as a big guard. He’s basically the center on this team but can be used in any situation as a ball handler, shooter and playmaker. Was used multiple times as an inbound passer to find easy shots. Ethan is a leader on both ends and likes to talk on defense. He is a special talent at a young age with the combination of size, handle and understanding how to use his body going to the basket and also around the rim. As much as he is skilled, the utility guy is a very smart basketball player.
The Next Jump: For someone like Ethan there’s always room to improve as a shooter to force the defense to play up harder allowing his drive. He wants to drive downhill and will sometimes get caught with his eyes downFall Kickoff

Fall Kickoff
09/14/24
Gio is a slasher who brings a great competitive edge to the court. He talks a lot and will piss off the other team. He showed patience with the ball as a slasher waiting for the screen and attacking hard off the shoulder. His range is deep which allows him to attack more often where he has great touch around the rim. A lot of dangerous spin moves that got him into the paint, in which his touch was very good. Gio brought intensity defensively and his length helped him defend anybody on the court whether he’s out on the perimeter or bodying inside. He also used his length grabbing a lot of offensive rebounds leading to easy putbacks.
The Next Jump: He has a decent handle but gets flustered when the defense has pressure. Starting to build some muscle and learning how to shoulder off the defense will help him keep the ball in his hands. He has deep range but his percentage can definitely be better as well.Fall Kickoff

He is a big guard that does a little bit of everything on the basketball floor. Talen knows how to use his body when attacking downhill. It leads to a lot of opportunities for his teammates and you can tell they are glad he’s on their team. He always has his eyes up looking for teammates on the perimeter, but also in the lane when driving. He uses his size and quickness on the defensive end to cause problems for the opposing guards and wings. Understanding how to use his size and strength at a young age is important so as his bag settles in he will be able to be more efficient.
The Next Jump: Almost able to show himself as a complete player, his shooting was the only thing that wasn’t displayed. In this game against HOH he didn’t have to use it but when he plays against bigger players he won’t be able to attack so easily.Fall Kickoff

Fall Kickoff
09/17/24
A throwback point guard, who has all the tools needed to lead his team to wins. His strongest asset is his vision and passing, constantly looking to get his teammates the ball in scoring areas. Nothing fancy but he has a nice handle as he gets to wherever he needs to with ease. Anthony moves with fluidity on the court, getting into the paint under control, taking the shot if open, or finding the open cutter or shooter in the corners. He really excels in the pick and roll game, where he spends a lot of time running the offense. Physically he has a strong frame, helping him get to his spots. His IQ is elite on both ends of the floor, picking off careless passes and reading the team's actions to break it up. A coach's dream, to have an elite point guard who is a willing passer, excellent defender, and has a strong frame. As he continues to progress, he will be a point guard that will lead his high school team to a lot of wins. Look for Anthony to develop into a college level guard.
The Next Jump: To really complete Anthony’s game, he needs to work on his three-point shot, adding that to his arsenal. He would also benefit from working off two feet in the paint, allowing him to not get caught in the air or getting off balanced passing or shooting off one foot.Fall Kickoff

Fall Kickoff
09/15/24
Getting his team off to a hot start he poured in 10 points in the first 5 minutes of the game. He acquired multiple steals in their press which as a help defender he was fantastic. Under pressure the guard has no issues putting his shoulder through the defense. His frame hasn’t started to fill out yet but when driving downhill, the defense tends to bounce right off of him. Eddie was attacking both ways, and there were no signs of weakness there at a young age. He is on his way to becoming a three-level scorer with his shooting ability from outside and attack mentality to get to his spots.
The Next Jump: The opportunity is there as he can do a variety of things on both ends while showing the flashes. The reason you can’t say he can score at all three levels yet is because he became non-existent at times and learning how to be more aggressive will help him finish the job.Fall Kickoff

He’s going to be an intriguing player going into high school next year with his willingness to be a team player while still having so much raw skill. He picks up full-court and causes turnovers without fouling. Saigier can block shots with his size, but does a great job of staying down, and also racks up steals in the passing lanes. The weakest part of his game appeared to be his shooting but he had no issues knocking down shots from outside. His handle was decent for his size and was a tremendous slasher going both ways and finishing high at the rim.
The Next Jump: As a big guard at this age, he can do just about everything on the court on both ends. Room for improvement though would be some more willingness to use his right hand.Fall Kickoff

Aiden has nice size for a wing player who can shoot the ball from deep. He has a strong frame, allowing him to get into the paint and finish through contact. He has above average athleticism, helping him to be a high level defender. Aiden is often matched up with bigger forwards, but has no problems banging down low, possessing the speed to match up with quicker guards as well. The wing demonstrates a high level passing ability, often finding players cutting or streaking ahead, and throwing beautiful bounce passes for easy buckets.
The Next Jump: Aiden needs to develop a tighter handle to shoulder some of the ball handling, as well as to improve his driving ability. Also, playing off two feet in the paint will help his offensive game.Fall Kickoff

He knows how to create space off the bounce to get the separation he needs to get his shot off. He is a capable passer, getting into the paint and finding the open man.
The Next Jump: Marat needs to work more on the defensive side of the ball, developing his lateral quickness to match up on bigger and quicker guards, as well as understanding that he cannot just be an offensive player. Playing defense needs to be as crucial as his jump shot that serves him so well.Fall Kickoff

Fall Kickoff
09/15/24
A well put together wing who is an elite defender that is excited to pick up full court and pressure the ball. He is capable of guarding any position, having the quickness to stay with guards and the strength to guard taller big men. Joziah has an excellent feel for the game, constantly jumping passing lanes, while also being in great position defensively off the ball. He has a nice handle, and is more than capable of leading the fast break, whether it's scoring or dropping off some nice dimes. In the half court, Joziah is capable of making moves off the bounce to get into the paint, and has a soft touch with his floaters. He does have a nice feel of moving in space between multiple defenders. Ultimately, his dominance starts on the defensive end of the floor, and he is not shy about competing on that end of the floor.
The Next Jump: Joziah really needs to develop his offensive skill set more. His handles especially because as a wing he will need to be able to make plays off the dribble. He does finish a lot in the paint, but could refine his finishing around the rim, and lastly, working on his jump shot, will take him to the next level.Fall Kickoff

He put the defense in a spin cycle all game when slicing through the teeth with an array of finishes, Euro steps and elite footwork. He knows how to get into the lane and not only finish himself but getting into two feet and diming up his teammates. He doesn’t get phased under pressure and continued to make the right play time and time again. At the same time he was able to cause a lot of problems as a defender in their trap. Being such a young player there is a lot to look forward to.
The Next Jump: With all of his downhill movement, he wasn’t stuck on the perimeter very much. If he has some bigger defenders on him he must be able to display an outside shot or he will be easier to guard.Fall Kickoff

The second that Khaleal steps on the floor, the first thing you’ll notice is his quick first step on offense and also as a defender that helps him recover from just about anything. He has great size that is a useful tool on both ends as well. He picks up hard and causes problems for the offense, watching him sky up for blocks and get low for steals. He has a problematic handle that leads him into pull-ups with a lot of stop and go actions. His footwork was beyond impressive while making a lot of quick decisions.
The Next Jump: He loves to drive but is hesitant to shoot from deep. If the defense see’s that it makes him easier to guard, that is something to improve that will make a significant difference.Fall Kickoff

Fall Kickoff
09/14/24
You can’t give him any space or he will pop from any distance right in your face. Something he doesn’t get enough credit for is his ability to move without the ball not just on the perimeter but cutting in the lane. Underrated part of his game is his acrobatics in the lane while finishing with both hands. NBA range makes him nearly impossible to defend, pairing it with his driving ability. Freddie has the ultimate green light with an elite handle that draws so much attention no matter where he is on the court. All of these reasons are why he’s one of the top ranked players in his class.
The Next Jump: He has all the offensive tools in his bag, and even as a defender he has principles. With that said, there has to be an added vocal component as he is very quiet on the court. If he can learn to be more aggressive and vocal, coaches will love him heading into high school next year.Fall Kickoff

A standout point guard on the court, so don’t let his size fool you. He doesn’t shy away from attacking and has no problem going up and finishing through traffic. You can tell he’s constantly in the gym from his handle and unlimited range. Getting it done with deep threes, step backs and in the slots when the defense pushes up on him. Despite his size, as a defender the guard is willing to put his body on the floor with multiple steals that led to some easy transition baskets. A calm and collected young player who will get his own no matter who is guarding him.
The Next Jump: He is a natural born scorer so a lot of the times a tough shot for him is the best shot for the team. With that said, he definitely can do a better job of getting his teammates involved which will help open up his own game.Fall Kickoff

Hesitation wasn’t in this guard's vocabulary. That being said, he took quality shots and his deep range was imposing. The combination of his handles and limitless range sent the opposing team into a frenzy. On the other side of the ball, Tariq brought hard pressure on the perimeter that forced turnovers and made the offense feel uncomfortable throughout the entirety of the game. His quick trigger was also something that made it even harder to defend him. He’s always ready to shoot and the ability to shoot off-the-dribble and in spot-ups is a translatable skill to any roster.
The Next Jump: Plays a two-way game and excels in a lot of areas. Figuring out how to make quicker decisions will unlock his potential as a star guard. As well as improving his off-ball defense will make a big difference.Fall Kickoff

Composed as a playmaker with the ball, he loves to push the pace himself as a downhill driver. Deshawn is a hard-nosed defender who likes to pick up the best ball handler. That is a great skill to develop early that coaches will continue to love. His vision stood out as he doesn’t force bad shots, but is still ready to put the ball in the hoop. The two-way is a difference maker on the court and plays with a lot of confidence. A big eye catcher was the fact that he really let his game do the talking and doesn’t need to cause commotion to get underneath the opposing team’s skin. He is a very fun player to watch get things done and has a great career ahead of him as long as he continues to put in the work.
The Next Jump: Driving downhill and through traffic was no problem at all, but in the half-court was where he can improve his game. Shooting the ball from outside more consistently will help open up his game, while also developing more of a mid-range game will do the same thing.Fall Kickoff

No pun intended, but this kid is cash. He appears to move slow with the ball, but his offensive timing looked to be like no other. The guard is a three-level scorer with his shooting ability being his best trait. The way that he is able to pick apart the defense so easily makes him one of the most dangerous threats in the entire gym. Defensively he will pick pockets with his long arms, going into a lot of action in the front court. Honestly one of the most fun players to watch, with his change of pace along with the energy he brings to the floor. He also has a willingness to get his teammates involved, with a lot of action as a ball handler in the pick and roll.
The Next Jump: His movements are something that make him so tough to defend but improving his quickness will give him the opportunity to play slow or fast which will make him even tougher to defend than he already is.Fall Kickoff

Aiden has a nice bounce to his game while dribbling, allowing him to get into the paint at will. He is an excellent offensive rebounder, using his strength and athleticism to create 2nd chance points. Aiden loves to pick up full court and hound the opposing teams point guards, creating turnovers and stress for the other team. He has elite ball hawking skills, with a strong frame, quick feet, and very active hands.

You will see him grab a defensive rebound, sprint out and lead a fast break, then turn around and sprint back on defense to get a chase down block or deflect a pass out of bounds. His best skill is his competitiveness, creating extra possessions for his team and locking up on the defensive end of the floor. He has the lateral quickness to switch out and lock down the other teams guards, and then guard the opposing teams big men.

A decent sized guard who has absolutely no fear when attacking the basket. He plays both guard spots well as a combo who moves well without the ball. He finishes high at the rim and defensively boxes out and rebounds well. Maxwell is very unselfish and likes to get his guys involved. He can knock it down and sprints everywhere on the court. He has a strong build that helps him defend up in position and also use his body effectively on the offensive end. His first step is unique, using back cuts for easy layups. The way he runs the floor as a combo guard was out of this world. Impacting the game as a slasher that pulls the defense with him wherever he goes.
The Next Jump: His downhill game is incredible and he almost enjoys playing off-ball more. When he does have the ball in his hands on the perimeter, he needs to be more aggressive and less passive. The ball will always come back to him so it’s important to continue becoming a three-point threat.Scholastic Fall League 2024

An in-between prospect with an impressive finishing ability. The lefty finishes up high slapping the backboard on every layup. He knows how to use the basket to block the defense, showing off with a sweet up-and-under layup after a hesitation dribble that left the defense in the dust. A big guard that uses his body effectively when slashing and even a little post turnaround game at the rim. Luke does whatever the team needs on both ends of the floor. He can pick up quick guards or body wings with his size and strength. He is a great system player who finds open space behind the defense.
The Next Jump: As a guard his handle has room to grow, especially because he relies on his left attack so much. Switching it up is important and will keep the defense guessing. A well-rounded prospect who deserves to play at the collegiate level. He’s got a tough floater game, and knows how to find the open guy as a distributor. You’ll see him hit jumpers galore in the mid-range, but can equally stretch that out to the three-point line. Acen understands how to use a change of pace to get to his spots and forces the defense to collapse and dumps it down low with perfect timing. He’s got great size for a combo guard who understands how to use it on both ends. As a defender he’ll body up and take pride in getting stops and boards. Even as a guard, on the other end you’ll catch him bully his way into the paint.
The Next Jump: He likes the ball in his hands and does good things when it is. A senior point guard, serves as the key playmaker for his team, controlling the tempo and orchestrates the offense with poise and precision. His ball handling is exceptional, allowing him to navigate through pressure without turning the ball over. Darius combines his strength, speed and composure to stay unfazed by defensive pressure, making him a reliable leader in tough situations. Defensively he is relentless, guarding the length of the court. He’s often disrupting opposing offenses by applying pressure on the ball and forcing turnovers. His ability to read the floor on both ends makes him a standout floor general.
The Next Jump: For Darius to excel at the next level, he needs to improve his scoring efficiency across all three levels. While his playmaking is top-tier, developing a more consistent outside shot will enhance his ability to keep defenses honest. This senior guard is one of the best shooters in California that no one knows about. He is a knockdown shooter who plays a key role in spacing the floor with his consistent perimeter shooting. Defenses are forced to respect his range, which opens up opportunities for his teammates, and that’s not even touching on his rapid-fire quick trigger that he possesses. He’s more than just a shooter though. Jaedon showed impressive athleticism when skying for offensive rebounds and taking pride as a defender that can defend 1-4. His ability to shoot the ball from deep while being a dual threat, he’s constantly applying pressure on defenses and creating scoring opportunities.
The Next Jump: He has the ability within him, but continuing to diversify his offensive game beyond his shooting will elevate the level he’s looking to play at. Rounding that out with some added ball handling duties will make him a more complete offensive weapon. The soon to be committed forward is a special talent. He is not a one-dimensional player as he contributes in so many different areas. Mason is very vocal on defense, can stay up and defend guards and has great hands in the passing lanes leading to transition plays. He’s got great eyes on the perimeter as a passer. The two-way player commands the court on the inside, but is just as great getting it done around the arc. There is so much attention that he draws with his size, so surrounding him with cutters serves him well. A very vocal and unselfish player that deserves everything coming his way.
The Next Jump: All of the tools are there for him to be successful. Continuing to work on conditioning as he gets set to play collegiate basketball next year. On top of that, improving his three-point percentage is the next add to his development as he will be more of a wing player than a big at the high school level.Scholastic Fall League 2024

As a young guard leading this Crean Lutheran team from the point position, he has a calmness that is instilled within the starting unit. He plays well in the pick-and-roll and knows how to wait and survey the floor. He’s got a pretty jumper in the mid-range and beyond the arc that he uses to affect the game. The lead guard uses his handles in transition and has his eyes up the floor, always looking for the open guy. Hunter has decent size and strength when picking up on defense and can impact the game on that end of the floor by slowing down the opposing guard. Unlimited range shooter with a bright future.
The Next Jump: He is a true point guard that executes the game plan. With that said, He needs to learn how to mix it up and when he needs to score and when to dish it out. He brings a lot to the table so continuing to work on timing will elevate his game.Scholastic Fall League 2024

A well-rounded wing who consistently scores at a highly effective level, posing a constant threat to opposing defenses. He’s a reliable outside shooter with a quick release and knocking down shots from long range. Aman’s offensive game translates from his tremendous size and ability to play at his own pace, allowing him to exploit mismatches. His combination of strength, size, and skill enables him to score at all three levels. Beyond the technical skills, he serves as the leader of this team, any jumps he gets to is where this team will go. What makes him unique is his ability to move at his size and this player straight up knows how to put the ball in the basket.
The Next Jump: Working on improving his athleticism and learning on how to utilize that within his game has to be upcoming. If Aman can commit to being as impactful on defense as he is on offense, his overall value as a prospect will skyrocket on college coaches' radars.Scholastic Fall League 2024

This senior point guard does a great job of serving as the playmaker for his team. His handle is tight and quick, and doesn’t get phased by pressure which are two important things you need in your lead guard. He picks up at half-court and beyond every possession and loves to use his sneaky length and hands to get steals and push the break. A lefty shooter that can shoot it off-the-dribble or on spot up situations. Adam throws great kick-ahead passes and uses both hands around the rim. Along with all of that, when he wants to, his speed is his greatest asset.
The Next Jump: As talented of a scorer and playmaker he is, He needs to make quicker decisions with the ball in his hands. Sometimes it was missing out on a swing and sometimes it was dribbling too much up top. Especially if he wants to compete at the next level, these are things coaches will look for first.Scholastic Fall League 2024
